Good morning, here’s a quick hit of martech news before Thanksgiving dinner is served.

As the CCPA deadline approaches, multiple companies are offering tools for compliance. The latest comes from trade group Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA), a consortium of industry associations and responsible for the  “ad choices” icon that appears on most online display ads. Similar to ad choices, The DAA will enable online users to opt-out of the sale or transfer of their personal data “across all of the DAA participating companies integrated into the new tools, from a single website or app.” The advantage for consumers is that they can opt-out once and have that choice be recognized across the DAA advertising ecosystem, where the logo appears.

A recent survey by customer experience (CX) platform Medallia found three distinct practices that differentiated B2B CX leaders: implementing multiple digital listening tools, being “relentless” about using customer feedback to drive action across the organization and holding more than one department accountable for the company’s overall CX efforts.

B2B businesses have as much to gain from an optimal customer experience strategy as B2C organizations, but building and implementing effective CX methods takes time and effort. The good news: implementing a relatively simple set of CX initiatives can set your company apart from the competition.

Lastly, in the spirit of martech and shopping rituals, we’ve rounded up a few Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals for marketers. Whether you want to help your team grow by adopting new tools, or want to reward them for their hard work by offering them the opportunity to grow professionally and earn a certification or take a skills-driven course, brands like Adobe and Digital Marketing Institute are offering steep discounts worth considering.

Differentiate your brand with a new year’s resolution

“Your email marketing strategy can’t ignore the holidays without wasting critical opportunities. Ensuring your brand stands out and is not just focused on sales will not only win this holiday season, but it will drive future success come 2020,” explains Len Shneyder of Twilio SendGrid. “Don’t forget to use this time to drive home the story of your brand by celebrating yourself and your relationship with your customers. For instance, make a new year’s resolution. Focus on new releases, philanthropy or areas of improvement for your brand and share with your customers. That looks different for different brands. One idea: If you had any late deliveries throughout the year, admit it and lay out a plan to eliminate or reduce late deliveries as your brand’s new resolution. This lets customers know you’re genuinely making an effort to improve their experience in the new year while showing a transparent human side.”

A new mobile app for developers from ironSource. The mobile monetization company ironSource has launched a mobile app for developers that provides a granular view of revenue and campaign performance based on real-time data. “Our product development continues to be driven by our clients’ needs,” said ironSource VP of Product Developer Solutions Nimrod Zuta, “This is only the first step in a much larger project of providing game developers with the in-depth viewability and management capabilities to run both the monetization and user acquisition sides of their business.” The mobile app will give developers an “instant and digestible” overview of their app’s monetization and user acquisition performance, with reports that can be viewed at a high-level or broken down by individual game apps and campaigns. Reports can also be filtered by time segments.
