Good morning, and what do you want to hear us talking about?

We’re taking a break from MarTech Live this week, mainly because we have three special editions scheduled to take place during our MarTech conference next week. The topics for those sessions are virtual events, diverse workplaces, and data. I’d like to know the kinds of topics you’d like us to cover when we kick off the weekly episodes again, following the conference.

We’re thinking, in particular, about marketing operations, how it fits with more traditional marketing roles, its developing importance as a career option; but within that context, discussions about personalization, data management, identity management, location marketing — there’s a lot to choose from.

So we do have a vision, but we’d also like to know what would make you register or watch on demand. What would be a must-see for you?

Microsoft Advertising adds brand safety with IAS partnership

Microsoft Advertising announced Monday that it has partnered with Integral Ad Science (IAS) to provide brand safety verification for the native ads that run on the Microsoft Audience Network.

It’s a pre-bid integration, meaning inventory is evaluated prior to the ad auction. In this case, IAS will scan, evaluate and rate pages across the Microsoft Audience Network for risk. Risk will be assigned across IAS’s standard set of content categories: Adult, Alcohol, Gambling, Hate Speech, Illegal Downloads, Illegal Drugs, Offensive Language and Controversial Content, Violence. When page content is deemed moderate or high risk, it will be excluded from Microsoft Audience Network’s advertising inventory.

Building more resources for Blacks in technology

The demand from minorities wanting to enter the technology field has led to a new international-focused group, Blacks in Technology International, a spin-off from the original Blacks in Technology organization.

Blacks in Technology International chartered its first international chapter in China in late July, proving that the demand for minority participation in the STEM industries knows no geographic boundary.

“Our mission is to increase the participation and representation of Black people in technology, no matter where they live,” said Peter Beasley, executive director of Blacks in Technology International. “We are receiving heavy interest in international markets from people looking to improve their career and gain professional insight, just like they want in the United States.”

Pipedrive releases new lead generation toolset

Pipedrive, a CRM platform, has released a new lead generation and management toolset, LeadBooster. Part of LeadBooster is the Prospector tool that contains a database of 400 million business profile leads. It also updates 800,000 profiles on a daily basis.

LeadBooster also includes chatbot, live chat and web forms. A separate tool Web Visitors powered by Leadfeeder, lets users track website visitors and review those who are engaged the most. Both LeadBooster and Web Visitors can be integrated into Pipedrive’s CRM.
