Bigcommerce Launches Tool To Streamline Creation Of Facebook & Twitter Ads

43% of small and medium online retailers would like help improving ROI for social ads, according to Bigcommerce. Company believes new tool will do that.

E-commerce platform Bigcommerce has launched a tool to streamline the creation of ad campaigns on Twitter and Facebook.

The Product Ads tool automates ad creation for products within catalogs in the Bigcommerce Marketplace, which is used by about 95,000 online stores. According to a Bigcommerce survey, 43 percent of SMBs would like help improving ROI from their social advertising.

This tool, developed in partnership with Boostable and available to US-based clients, will do that, Bigcommerce believes.

Ads can be quickly created quickly by pulling in images and descriptions from product pages. Advertisers can edit the titles and descriptions and set a monthly budget for campaigns before launching them on Facebook and Twitter. Bigcommerce charges a 20 percent service fee for ads purchased through the platform.

Among the features of the platform, according to Bigcommerce:

  • Improve your ROI with automatic optimization: Our product ads use the latest performance data to continually improve targeting, reducing your spend and delivering better results — automatically.
  • Make the most of your new traffic: Generate traffic and demand for top-performing products, maximize promotions and increase awareness of underperforming inventory through sophisticated targeting techniques designed to find new customers, not just those that have previously visited your store.
  • Measure your success: You’ll never have to guess at how your advertising is performing. Detailed reporting shows you the exact amount of sales, orders, reach and clicks each of your ads delivers.

“The global reach of social platforms like Facebook and Twitter present a massive opportunity for our merchants to promote their products and attract new customers,” Bigcommerce chief product officer Tim Schulz said in a release. “This unique, integrated advertising solution is an example of how we continue to invest in building the industry’s best platform for merchant success with a comprehensive set of tools designed to help our clients grow and scale their business.”
