BrightRoll announced today it is expanding its mobile video ad solutions by offering access to Nielsen Digital Ad Ratings data across its mobile video demand side platform (DSP).

Formerly known as Nielsen Online Campaign Ratings (OCR), the integration gives advertisers on the Yahoo-owned video ad platform tools to plan, optimize and report on campaigns from within the DSP. Benefits include the ability to verify audience delivery for both web and mobile and cross-device measurement tools. BrightRoll offers access to over 10,000 mobile websites and apps.

“The ability to access Nielsen Digital Ad Ratings in BrightRoll’s platform enables advertisers to have a complete view of their campaign’s full digital audience and instills confidence that they’re reaching their most valuable audience to maximize return on investment,” said Andrew Feigenson, Managing Director, Digital, Nielsen.

BrightRoll also noted its adoption of the recently released MRAID Video Addendum, which the company co-authored in collaboration with the IAB to create an industry standard for in-app mobile video ad performance metrics. The MRAID framework means mobile video ads no longer require publisher-specific implementations by offering a common API for app publishers and platforms to run moibile video ads at scale quickly and consistent campaign reporting and measurement across the ecosystem.

“Marketers are still uncertain about how to execute and verify the effectiveness of their mobile video campaigns” said BrightRoll CEO and founder Tod Sacerdoti, “We are doubling-down on our efforts to give advertisers the ability to measure performance across the breadth of devices to better understand their target audiences and effectively spend marketing dollars.”

BrightRoll announced its expanded set of solutions at today’s Video Summit in New York. The company says its newly added Nielsen Digital Ad Ratings can be accessed by both self-serve and managed service advertisers, while access to MRAID Video Addendum is available only to advertisers using BrightRoll’s managed services.
