A lot of hustle and bustle in the martech world this week with announcements of martech tools, new hires and a fun way to compete with your marketing colleagues.

Martech in Motion

Show off your stack
Scott Brinker has announced that The Stackies 2018: Marketing Tech Stack Awards are now open for entries. To enter, create a single 16:9 slide that illustrates how you conceptualize your marketing stack.

Applift adds segmentation tool
DataLift 360 will allow advertisers to define rules and segment users based on multiple in-app events. The company said the tool will help create more efficient retargeting campaigns and maximize ROAS directly from within the platform.

Smart1 Marketing partners with Slidely
Smart1 Marketing announced a partnership with visual content platform Slidely. The move will help the digital strategy firm provide high-end video ad resources to small businesses.

Bizzabo launches new version of its app
Events cloud Bizzabo launched the next generation of its mobile events app for Android and iPhone devices this week. The update provides enterprise organizations with customizable branding capabilities and in-app feature selection.

VenueLytics unveils new platform
VenueLytics announced the debut of VenueLytics VL SMB. The company says it will enable independent hospitality businesses like restaurants, hotels, bars, nightclubs, casinos and more to add automated revenue-boosting services.

SaleScout Data Solutions adds Jean Chen as vice president of marketing. Most recently, Chen was the vice president of marketing and strategy at Registria.

JD Power appoints Dr. Seongjoon Koo to the newly created position of chief data officer. Koo was previously at Encore Capital Group and was a principal scientist at CoreLogic.

Iconectiv names Glenn Reynolds as head of government and industry affairs. He was formerly an NTIA chief of staff and telecommunications policy expert.

JLL adds Dan Burns as senior vice president, technology strategy director for its Smart Building Program. Burns was previously at Philips Lighting.

PebblePost announces Jacquelyn Goldberg as vice president of sales, financial services. Previously, Jacquelyn served as the company’s first director of sales.

Zeotap announces that Anne MacDonald, former CMO at Travelers, Macy’s and Citigroup, has joined its global advisory board. Rob Norman, formerly chief digital officer of GroupM, also joined.
