Good morning, we hope you’re enjoying the holiday.

Since today is a holiday at our parent company, Third Door Media, we’re taking the opportunity to update you on what’s happening at MarTech Today and at our upcoming MarTech Conference.

As always, we’re keeping an eye on the ever-changing world of marketing technology, recently covering the declaration of nearly 200 martech companies that “CRM is not enough,” and pledging to develop open solutions that share data throughout the martech stack.  Additionally, we’ve been exploring how the roles within companies have evolved over the past few years. MarTech Conference Chair Scott Brinker says there are four roles that marketing technologists play in modern organizations: Operations Orchestrator, Brand/Demand Builder, Analytics Architect and Marketing Maker.

Whether you identify as one of these or not, we encourage you to please take our 2020 Martech Career Study survey to help us get a better understanding of the work you do.

Speaking of careers, there’s nothing better that you can do for your own than attend one of our MarTech conferences. Check out the agenda for the upcoming show in April in San Jose and register now for the best rates! You won’t want to miss the 2020 Stackies awards — one of the highlights of the conference — and there’s still time to enter with a visualization of your company’s stack. (Check out the “Get your Boss Onboard” resource kit for help with that challenge.)

We hope to see you at the show and are delighted to engage with you through your inbox, our surveys and in every other way. Enjoy the rest of the day and join us again tomorrow for our usual newsy offerings.
